Our review process evaluates the quality and extent of Māori partnership, engagement, and participation proposed within research applications, providing practical recommendations to strengthen alignment with Te Tiriti o Waitangi, kaupapa Māori principles, and best practice approaches.
We also assess research methodologies, engagement strategies, and intended outcomes to help ensure Māori perspectives are meaningfully embedded throughout the research journey. Through constructive feedback and strategic guidance, we support the development of stronger applications that contribute to more equitable and impactful outcomes for Māori.
